What is the New Age DJ?

In the past DJ's used to be alongside hip hop stars doing crazy live mashups and remixes, leaving the crowds in awe. Over the past 10 - 20 years the DJ industry has changed significantly, in fact it has literally exploded, not only in the amount of people who DJ and attend the events but also the range of equipment and software available to the everyday average person. Nowadays DJ's have the ability to make their music live and 'on the fly' in front of their audience, simultaneously being the drummer, bass guitarist, lead guitarist, vocalist, keyboard player and then on top of that the mix it all together too.
